Lying in bed and failing at sleeping the night before a job interview I noticed the flashes in the distance after turning off the light. After checking an online lightning tracker, I saw this storm was swiftly approaching and decided to set up my GoPro.
This footage was taken at the storm’s peak. I had just moved my camera from the West-facing hall window, where I was capturing the approaching lightning, to the South-facing lounge windows as the wind and hail hit.
Unfortunately the GoPro Hero 3 isn’t very good in low-lighting, even with all the streetlights, but you can get an idea of the intensity of the storm at it’s peak.
